I come from the generation of kids who played Roblox from 2008–2013 — what I’ll always remember as its golden age. Back when things were bubbling, unpredictable… the wild west days of Roblox. The platform was still figuring itself out, and so were we. Notorious events, notorious players, and a smaller, tight-knit community. Back then, Roblox wasn’t so mainstream — kids at my school would call it a Lego ripoff. It had this charm that’s hard to explain… “Robloxy,” I guess you could call it. Silly, blocky, comical, with hats on the catalog we’d wait for every week. There were contests, obbies, tycoons, badges, the ambassador program… even the legendary double hat glitch. I remember pulling all-nighters, even on school final exam nights, just to play. I made friends for life here. Those days have passed, and a new generation is now making their own memories. And that’s a beautiful thing — it reminds me that no matter how much Roblox changes, there will always be happy kids having fun.
